The SlicePrice shopping guide
Our approach to smaller prices, clearer comparisons, and fewer impulse buys.
01
A discount is useful when it lowers the cost of something you wanted already. Before browsing, give yourself a price ceiling and name the job the product needs to do. For headphones, that might be comfortable video calls rather than every premium feature. For a kitchen tool, it might be fitting a particular drawer. That small checklist makes it easier to pass on an attractive price for the wrong item. Daily Slice lets you like an idea without buying it immediately; return to your likes when you have time to compare.
02
The percentage shown on a deal compares the current Amazon API price with the reference amount supplied in the same response. That reference can have a label such as List Price; it is not necessarily the price shoppers paid yesterday. A large percentage does not establish an all-time low. Compare the final dollar amount with your budget and the alternatives that meet your needs. If Amazon supplies no comparison amount, we use the current price as the reference instead of inventing a discount. Check the timestamp, and confirm the price on Amazon before ordering.
03
A coupon may need to be selected on the Amazon product page. A promo code usually needs to be entered at checkout. Either can depend on the seller, variant, purchase quantity, account, or other terms. Copying a code does not confirm eligibility. Read the offer instructions and inspect the order summary before paying. Do not assume two promotions stack unless the final checkout total confirms it. If the expected discount does not appear, pause and reconsider the purchase; a price that requires an unavailable promotion is not the price you are actually paying.
04
Color, size, capacity, model year, and bundle options can change both the price and what you receive. Follow the shopping link, then compare the selected variant with the title and details you wanted. Check whether the listing is new or used, who sells it, and who handles fulfillment. A low price for a smaller pack may cost more per unit than a larger pack. For technology, compare compatibility and included accessories. For home products, measure the space first. A return can erase the convenience of finding a quick bargain.
05
The product price is only part of your decision. Look at shipping charges, taxes, delivery dates, return conditions, and any membership requirement. Subscribe & Save can involve repeat orders: review the frequency and future order price rather than treating a subscription offer as a one-time purchase. Lightning deals can end quickly or reach a purchase limit, but a timer does not make an item useful. Take enough time to read the checkout summary. If you are buying a multipack, calculate the unit price and consider whether you will use the full quantity.
06
Under $25 is a browsing shortcut, not a claim about your delivered total. 40% OFF & Up uses the supplied reference comparison, so read that basis alongside the discount. Promocodes helps surface offers with a listed code; the retailer still determines whether that code works for your order. Halloween is a themed selection, and delivery timing can matter as much as price for a seasonal purchase. The advanced filters let you narrow the selection further. We recommend deciding what matters to you before changing filters, rather than searching for the biggest discount alone.
07
Your Daily Slice likes are a place to collect ideas. A like is not a reservation or a guarantee that the same price will remain available. If an offer is awaiting an Amazon refresh, or its promotion has ended, we stop showing its old price. Your product choice can remain in your history even when current details are unavailable. That helps us avoid repeating the same ASIN in the swipe feed. For an expensive or unfamiliar product, take a break, compare a few alternatives, and return only if it still solves your original need.

As an Amazon Associate, Slice Price earns from qualifying purchases. This adds no cost to your purchase. Amazon handles checkout, shipping and returns; its final price and terms apply.
